Business Opportunity Exchange

Business Opportunity Exchange

Taking place during Minority Business Opportunity Week, the GMSDC’s Business Opportunity Exchange is the Council’s signature supplier diversity and small business development conference. The focus of this week’s activities is Opportunities. This conference explores how we might be more creative and more proactive in how we utilize minority suppliers. The conference is a full week of speakers, networking, presentations and matchmaking, to be delivered virtually over technology platforms.

CONFERENCE ELEMENTS

Spread out across 5 days to provide schedule flexibility for attendees and accommodate unique aspects of a virtual environment, the BOE will include the following elements –

MBE Presentations – Through our systematic matchmaking platform, MBEs will be able to provide overviews of their products, services and capabilities to Primes or Corporate partners looking to buy goods and services in their category.

One on One Corporate Connections – MBEs will be able to request one-on-one virtual meetings with corporations with the intention of networking and fostering new business relationships.

Pinning Ceremony – The pinning ceremony recognizes the MBEs who have completed their 6-month action plan

State of Minority Business – A National Discussion – Building on our studies of minority businesses and their economic impact, we will continue this discussion about the challenges facing black-owned and other minority businesses in this current environment.
